Regional Centers Provide Immigration Opportunities For Asian Investors

The uncertainty of traditional immigration programs has caused many foreign investors to participate in the EB-5 Visa program.  This employment based investment visa program grants the applicant and his or her immediate family a conditional green card.  Provided that certain conditions are met, permanent residency can be obtained in a few short years.  Many investors are eager to live and work in the United States and EB-5 Visas are quickly rising in popularity because of its expedited application process relative to other immigration procedures.  Chinese, Korean, Venezuelan, and investors from many other countries are turning to this program to achieve residency for themselves and their families.

A steadily growing list of US industries have benefitted from the influx of foreign investment capital over the past years.  Agriculture, tourism, renewable energy, transportation and education are all getting a much needed boost from government sponsored Regional Centers, which operate with the help of capital raised by foreign investors participating in the EB-5 program.  Those who qualify and receive EB-5 Visas will receive their green card in exchange for a significant investment which will in turn create much needed jobs in economically challenged areas here in the United States.  This mutually beneficial transaction is attracting a large number of wealthy Korean and Chinese investors who are looking to reside in America and contribute their resources in a meaningful way.  Dilapidated regions receive an economic boost from the Regional Centers which look to stimulate the local economy and create new jobs.

The EB-5 Regional Center program was introduced by the USCIS in the early 1990s to attract foreign investors and essentially lure their capital stateside in return for a green card.  This initiative came after Canada and Australia made similar efforts to attract foreign investors in the late 1980s.  The US maintains stringent protocol for its EB-5 investment program, not granting permanent residency until the investment is proved to have created new jobs.  Despite rigid requirements, Asian investors are excited about the financial opportunities and immigration benefits available through this program.  Contact the offices of Darren Silver & Associates for more information.
